Robbi Joy Eklow's entrance into the quilting world began during the 1980s as an escape. Like Alice looking for Wonderland, Robbi, a stay-at-home mother with two toddlers, sought a stimulating sanctuary of beauty and creativity. One day, she stepped through the looking glass into a local quilt shop, where her children were welcomed and she could indulge herself in fabric, fabric, and yet more fabric. Since then, this Chicago-area quilt designer has developed her own unique style, creating vibrant, eye-popping quilt art that is over the top.
